OUR TRUCK
DODGE RAM
The Dodge Ram is an iconic American muscle truck, featured as the hero vehicle in the well- known film Twister.
She is infamous for her adaptability being used as a digger, snow plough, monster truck, general day to day vehicle and now she can now also be used for funeral transport.
Imported from Ohio in the early 90s and then barn stored in Ireland until we found her, our Dodge is a Classic 2nd generation 2500 Dodge Ram, fully equipped with a 5.9l diesel engine.
She has been lovingly restored and converted to a hearse finished in Masons Black paint with a blue metal flake so whilst retaining her modesty she stands out! Masses of polished stainless steel detailing have been added to set off her innovative dodge character.
SPECIFICATIONS
Measuring 19ft long from front to back bumper and 6ft tall to the top of the flower rail on the cab, she has 2 decks.
The top deck is wood stained and fully equipped to carry the heaviest of caskets/coffins with bier pins, head & foot stops and a full safety rail.
It measures 8ft by 3ft 5inches wide without the stops & pins ( with safety rail still in place ) and 7ft 4 inches by 2ft 11 inches wide with stops and pins.
The lower deck of the truck is a closed deck which can be used for a casket or coffin but, more often, is used to carry flowers.
Floral arrangements and tributes can be added to chrome railings on either side of the top deck and at the foot of the casket/coffin plus on top of the trucks cab .
We also offer families the chance to personalise our truck with flags, ribbons and other bespoke requests.

ADDITIONAL INFO
The cab seats 3 people, so our driver plus 2 others. There is a CD player and families are very welcome to provide a CD of their choice.
As standard our driver wears a black chauffeur hat, black suit, white shirt, black tie and highly polished black boots but we are happy to accommodate specific requests. A recent client wished the driver to be dressed in a Stetson, Leather jacket & cowboy boots which is no problem at all !
